Waldo's Secret Art Walk is Vero Beach's oldest and most unique art venue located in Waldo Sexton's original homestead. Our first three shows from 2024 to 2026 attracted nearly 3000 patrons each weekend and were featured in Vero Magazine, 32963 and Vero News.
Waldo Sexton's private 15 acre property is hidden away in the middle of town off 12th Street and is the location of his original homestead. The "Secret Garden" has all the charm and wonder of Waldo's other properties like The Ocean Grill, The Driftwood and McKee's Botanical Gardens. You'll get to visit Waldo's "Tree House," where you can hear tales from the past. Plus, "Waldo's Secret Antique & Art Barn" featuring a small gallery of unique artists and antique treasures from Waldo's private collections at bargain prices. Hidden throughout the garden are over 35 artists tucked away under porticos, in historic sheds and barns and in tents on the bamboo forest path. The venue itself is an artistic wonder and a tourist attraction on the rare occasions when it's open to the public. Waldo was one of the first "Found Object" artists and his buildings are created from discarded treasures and natural elements.
Poet Laureate, Sean Sexton is a regular special guest, reading his poetry and sharing stories in the one-of-a-kind "Hard Rock Cafe" made from antique coral. As you wander the jungle garden, you'll discover over 35 artists offering everything from paintings and handmade baskets to sculpture and jewelry from the most unique artisans of the area. Great food, drinks and live music accompany the event. On our third ArtWalk, we added free children's face painting and a "Where's Waldo" scavenger hunt- both were big hits!

OUR ARTISTS work in many media, including: paint, ceramics, glass, fiber, metal, sculpture, photography and jewelry, plus note cards and illustrated books. You'll also find a great selection of food trucks on site. You'll find artists tucked under porticos and parking garages at the two residences on site. This 15 acre property was Waldo Sexton's original homestead and has all the charm and wonder of his other properties like The Ocean Grill, The Driftwood and McKee's Botanical Gardens. In addition to the fine artists you will discover on your walk, "Waldo's Antique Art Barn" features treasures from Waldo's private collections that you can purchase for bargain prices. Look for notices in the local calendars and postings on social media as we get closer to the date for this year's show.
PARKING: You can park in the field at 5000 12th street for $5 per car. Or, find street parking along 12th Street or surrounding neighborhoods for free. For paid parking, just follow the signs to the venue and someone will guide you to the lot.
